It has so much to offer. There is Orlando, and it’s nearby amusement parks, and everybody should see it once, possibly twice as the first visit may be blurry.
But there is more to the state. From the sparkling shores to the Everglades, there is incredible natural beauty.
There is a fascinating history of the countries first town, wine, Greek settlement, and more.
And there is the real Orlando you have yet to meet.
You cannot see Florida in a few days.
WORSE CASE, focus on two-three areas and immerse yourself for seven days. A little better, add an extra weekend on and give yourself ten days.
People say, oh, but I am going to go back again. If you already know this, why try to cram so much into the first visit?
I suggest and find most people are happy with, doing one of three sections per trip. More specifically, Orlando and Central Florida. Southern Florida and the Keys. Everything north and west of Orlando. Or the rest of the state.
There are some very scenic roads in Florida. And one is an Alligator Alley.
Day Trips
From Orlando, you can reach the Kennedy Space Center, St Augustine, or Tampa. Although both cities deserve at least two days.
From Miami, there is nearby Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, the Everglades, and the Florida Keys.
Tallahassee can be a good base for those wanting to explore northeast Florida.
