See Alaska through its Citys and Surroundings.
The scenery, the sites and indeed the people are all part of why you need to see Alaska.
But not just the islands of the southeast. The mainland has so many hidden treasures.
Come, let’s take a visual stroll through this captivating state.
I love Alaska.

See Alaska, and You Decide.
It has so much to offer. The mainland has snow-covered mountains for skiing in the winter to biking and hiking in the summer.
The Anchorage area is the gateway to the Kenai Peninsula, home to incredible fishing and wildlife viewing.
To Denali and its big mountain and some wildlife.
By plane, it is the access point to wonderful wilderness lodges and pristine lakes.
You cannot see Alaska in a few days.
WORSE CASE, focus on two-three cities and immerse yourself for seven days. A little better, add an extra weekend on and give yourself ten days.
People say, oh but I am going to go back again. If you already know this, why try to cram so much into the first visit?
I suggest and find most people are happy with, doing one of three sections per trip. More specifically, Northern, Southern, or a cruise through the islands of Southeast.
Cruises can be confusing. Do I do the round trip from Vancouver? But wait, I want to see Seattle. Or do I sail north and disembark in Anchorage (Seward)?
Which ports do I choose? How important is Glacier Bay? Russian Sitka or British Victoria?
From ANchorage, you can access most of the state. Planes, ferries, trains or cars can take you near or far. You do not have to go very far to find incredible beauty and potential wildlife sightings.
Then there are the UNESCO natural sites. Massive forestlands and gleaming glaciers combine to show Alaska’s natural beauty.
Day Trips
For day trips from Anchorage, you have Seward and its water access or the glaciers and animals near Girdwood.
Floatplanes can whisk you off to Denali, glaciers, remote cabins or solitary areas for potential wildlife.
Do you start to get the picture? Alaska has so much to offer, don’t skimp. What will be your favorite memory?
