See Crete Summary

The island has so many blessings, and yet so few know about it. It is the largest of the Greek islands and perhaps the mildest due to its location off the north shore of Africa.

Crete has its cuisine. Thanks to a healthy amount of rain throughout the year, growing is not a problem like on many Greek islands. They can also support cows and other farm animals which most islands cannot.

Then there is the Crete wine. Crete is one of the wine regions of Greece. Volcanic soil, moisture, and warm breezes help to make wines like nowhere else in Greece. Vineyards can be found from Heraklion, near the center of the island, to Chania in the west.

Set aside several days and see Crete.
